Chief Executive CY Leung has urged the public not to express views by unlawful actions, which will cause a waste of Police resources.
Speaking at his Legislative Council question and answer session today, Mr Leung noted Police arrested 511 people who illegally occupied Chater Road and blocked traffic yesterday.
He said these people had clearly expressed their views but still refused to leave after repeated advice and warnings from Police.
Their actions caused a waste of Police resources, he said.
