16 building plans approved

The Buildings Department approved 16 building plans in June - six on Hong Kong Island, three in Kowloon and seven in the New Territories.

 

Eight were for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, three for commercial developments, three for factory and industrial developments, and two for community services development.

 

Consent was given for work to start on nine building projects that will provide 100,403 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 1,701 units, and 62,791 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.

 

The department received notification of the start of work for two building projects. It also issued 23 occupation permits - nine on Hong Kong Island, eight in Kowloon and six in the New Territories.

 

The buildings certified for occupation have 217,895 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 2,643 units, and 79,077 sq m for non-domestic use.

 

The declared cost of new buildings completed in June totalled $11.6 billion.
