The Lantau Development Advisory Committee held its seventh meeting today to discuss its first-term work report.
The report summarises the work of the first term of the committee and its major proposals on spatial planning and land use, conservation, strategic transport infrastructure, social development, and recreation and tourism for Lantau Island.
It also outlines the direction for the committee's next step of work.
The committee’s secretariat will amend the report in accordance with the comments from members raised at the meeting and then Secretary for Development Paul Chan, also the committee chairman, will submit the report to the Chief Executive.
The report will also be uploaded to the committee's website.
This term of office for the committee will expire at the end of this month and Mr Chan thanked the members for their contributions in the past two years.
