The Transport Department today warned that it is dangerous to climb over the central dividers on illegally occupied roads.
The department also noted that some traffic lights have been covered, interfering with motorists.
It said that people must abide by traffic laws to avoid putting the safety of themselves and others at risk, despite the irregularities caused by protest activities.
As special traffic arrangements will be implemented for the horse racing in Happy Valley tomorrow night, traffic will be busy on Hong Kong Island during peak hours. People are advised to use public transport as far as possible.
A total of 225 bus routes are still affected by the protests, and 20 green minibus routes that use Harcourt Road, Nathan Road and Argyle Street are still diverted or suspended.
