MTR, Light Rail and MTR Bus fares will rise an average of 2.2% from June 19, the Mass Transit Railway Corporation announces. Fares for 79% of all passenger trips will change by no more than 20 cents, and 6% of these will not experience any fare increase.
Among fares not changed are concessionary Octopus fares of $1.9 or below, as well as fares for cross-boundary journeys between Lo Wu / Lok Ma Chau and the majority of stations in the urban area. Click

The corporation also announced other fare promotions for passengers in 2011, including new interchange discounts with five outlying island ferry routes and three green minibus routes in Kwun Tong as well as enhanced interchange discounts in Tung Chung.
Existing promotions will also be extended, including the $2 fare promotion scheme for the elderly which will run for another 12 months, as well as various monthly and day passes at new prices and Light Rail and MTR Bus promotions. Together, the value of all promotions in 2011 will add up to $1.7 billion. Click
