Transport complaints rise 1.7%

The Transport Complaints Unit received 4,112 complaints and suggestions from April 1 to June 30, up 1.7% on the previous quarter and the same quarter last year.

 

The complaints and suggestions mostly related to public transport services (82%), enforcement matters (11%) and traffic conditions (4%).

 

The number of cases on public transport services grew 1.8% on the previous quarter to 3,372. Those on traffic conditions fell from 180 to 172.

 

Investigations into 4,149 cases were completed during the period. Of these, 65% were substantiated while 5% were unsubstantiated, and the remainder were not pursuable due to lax information.

 

The Government is working to solve the substantiated cases.
