Several exhibitions and an art project will be held in in coming days to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The HKSAR 20th Anniversary Roving Exhibition is being held in Cityplaza, Taikoo Shing, until July 24, featuring an interactive game zone and a giant rubber duck for photo-taking among its attractions.
The 20th anniversary theme song and videos will be shown there, and visitors can take home a souvenir by clicking "Like" on the 20th anniversary Facebook page at the venue.
From July 23, artistic furniture will be displayed in the open space of Leisure & Cultural Services Department venues across Hong Kong's 18 districts, such as parks and playgrounds.
The displays will be launched at a ceremony at 4.30pm on July 22 in the Culture Plaza of the Central & Western District Promenade (Central Section).
An exhibition on different types of Chinese scripts and their development will be held at Hong Kong Central Library from July 22 to August 20 as part of the Public Libraries’ Summer Reading Month 2017.
The reading month also comprises contests on dramatisation of Chinese stories, talks, cultural performances and workshops with some of them requiring prior registration. Click here for details.
The Civic Education Exhibition 2017 event will be held at Book Fair 2017 from July 19 to 25, featuring a 3D photo corner, interactive games and souvenir distribution at the Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Singer Kayee Tam will perform and share her views on civic values on stage at 1pm, July 21, at the fair's Children's Paradise zone.
