The Centre for Health Protection has learned of an avian influenza A (H7N9) case in Anhui involving a 62-year-old man.
He lives in Maanshan and had visited a live poultry market. He is in critical condition.
A total of 739 human H7N9 cases have been reported by the Mainland since 2013.
