Voter registration ends on May 2

March 05, 2016

Electoral Affairs Commission Chairman Barnabas Fung today called on people to register as electors, and for electors to update their registered addresses by May 2.

People registered before the deadline can vote in the Legislative Council General Election on September 4.

Electors who have moved should notify the Registration & Electoral Office by May 2 to ensure the addresses in the Final Register are accurate. They are also encouraged to provide their telephone numbers and email addresses.

People can log in to the Online Voter Information Enquiry System to check their registration particulars.

Mr Fung reminded that it is an offence for a person to give false or incorrect information for voter registration.

Forms for voter registration and updating of registration particulars are available at the Registration & Electoral Office, District Offices and public housing estate management offices. They can also be downloaded here.
