The Centre for Health Protection recorded one suspected Middle East Respiratory Syndrome case from noon yesterday to noon today.
The person tested negative for the MERS virus in preliminary testing.
No confirmed case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome has been identified in Hong Kong.
In view of the latest situation in Korea, the centre urges people to avoid non-essential travel to the country and avoid unnecessary visits to healthcare facilities in places at risk for MERS.
