Prof Lo Yuk-lam has been appointed Advisory Council on Food & Environmental Hygiene Chairman.
Eleven new members and five serving members have also been appointed to the council.
New members Dr Au Wai-ting, Dr Felix Chan, Chan Wai-ming, Vivien Chen, Prof Chiu Siu-wai, Jenny Lam, Stephen Leung, Dr Leo Poon, Simon Tam, Prof Wong Wing-tak and Prof Samuel Wong will begin their two-year term on April 1.
Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man said he believed the body would benefit from their wise counsel and expertise when tendering advice to the Government on food and environmental hygiene issues.
He also thanked outgoing chairman Felix Fong and the nine outgoing members for their valuable advice.
