3 Mainland H7N9 cases reported

The Centre for Health Protection verified with the National Health & Family Planning Commission today one human case of avian influenza A(H7N9) in Jiangsu and two in Zhejiang.
The Jiangsu case involves a 68-year-old man who is receiving treatment in hospital. He is stable.
The two cases in Zhejiang involve a 54-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man who are receiving treatment in hospital. Their condition is stable.
Meanwhile, the Health Department of Shandong Province is investigating a suspected human case of avian influenza A(H7N9) involving a 36-year-old man. Laboratory confirmation by the Chinese Center for Disease Control & Prevention is pending.
As of 9pm today, a total of 104 cases have been laboratory confirmed with avian influenza A(H7N9) in Zhejiang (40 cases), Shanghai (33 cases), Jiangsu (24 cases), Anhui (three cases), Henan (three cases) and Beijing (one case).
No human case of avian influenza A(H7N9) has been identified so far in Hong Kong.
