There were no new notifications of suspected human cases of avian influenza A (H7) in Hong Kong in the 24-hour period from noon yesterday to today, the Centre for Health Protection reports.
Since March 31, the centre has been notified of 14 such cases that fulfilled reporting criteria, and 37 such cases that did not.
Doctors are reminded to report any suspected A(H7) cases to the centre. Its Public Health Laboratory Services Branch is ready to receive and test specimens whenever necessary.
