Novartis Pharmaceuticals (HK) is recalling all batches of Ospexin Cap 500mg and Ospexin Cap 250mg on quality grounds, the Department of Health warned today.
 
Novartis said the products failed storage tests, possibly due to the ineffectiveness of the packing materials in protecting the product from moisture.
 
The drugs are antibiotics.
 
The department has informed public and private hospitals and healthcare professionals about the recall.
