Little egret carcass H5N1 positive

A dead little egret found in Yuen Long on January 12 was confirmed to be H5N1-positive after a series of laboratory tests, the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department said today.
 
The bird carcass was picked up beside a tree outside the Yuen Long Office of the department’s Wetland & Fauna Conservation (Enforcement) Section in Nam Sang Wai.
