York Chow to attend US health meeting

Secretary for Food & Health Dr York Chow will visit San Francisco, New York and Atlanta from September 16 to 22.
He will attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation high-level dialogue panel meeting in San Francisco, and deliver a speech on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases.
He will also hold a bilateral meeting with Malaysia’s Minister of Health Liow Tiong Lai, before heading to New York to attend the United Nations meeting on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases.
The meeting will focus on reviewing and discussing strategies on the prevention and control of obesity, cardiovascular diseases, cancers, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes.
In Atlanta Dr Chow will visit the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and discuss the latest developments in the prevention of communicable diseases.
