Recall ordered on 2 drink powders

June 03, 2011
The Centre for Food Safety urges people not to drink two kinds of Taiwan-made drink powders, Oriyen Nutri Grow (boy) Orange Drink Premix and Oriyen Nutri Grow (girl) Cranberry Drink Premix, as they were found to contain plasticisers.

Taiwanese authority's notified the centre yesterday that the possibly contaminated drink powders had been distributed to Hong Kong.

The centre has told the importer, Cosway (HK) Limited, to stop selling the affected products and to recall them.

The centre will continue to investigate the incident, closely monitor the recall arrangements and collect samples of related products for testing.
