The International IT Fest 2016 will be held from April 11 to 23, featuring over 40 events that showcase Hong Kong's achievements in innovation and technology.
The highlight this year is the inaugural Internet Economy Summit on April 13, which will explore the future development and strategies of the Internet-driven economy.
The summit will draw together renowned ICT experts and leaders from East to West including Alibaba Group, Facebook, HP Enterprises, Huawei and Microsoft.
IT Fest is organised by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer in collaboration with the local ICT industry.
Other exciting events include CalConnect XXXVI Hong Kong, the ICT Expo, the Hong Kong ICT Awards Presentation Ceremony, the IET/MATE Hong Kong Underwater Robot Challenge, the AppJamming Summit and the Cyberport mYouth Mobile App Code Jam Competition.
About 50 tailor-made ICT student tours will be held to give them a better understanding of ICT facilities and a taste of the ICT workplace. Over 1,000 students have applied to join the tours.
