Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So said today that dialogue between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Central Government on the issue of Mainland tourists is an on-going process, adding that Central Government is well aware of Hong Kong's situation.
Mr So told reporters this afternoon that he believed the Central Government would make the appropriate decision after taking into account Hong Kong people's views and the city's latest situation.
He also urged people to "stop taking radical actions that undermine the tourism industry."
Mr So stressed that the tourism sector is trying hard to provide a positive experience for Hong Kong's visitors and that radical action is not conducive to the city's development.
