Chief Secretary Carrie Lam says she supports the strategy in the 2014-15 Budget to enhance Hong Kong’s competitiveness, adding it is comprehensive and practical.
Speaking to the media today, she said the Government can secure finances to support its work to improve people’s livelihoods through economic growth.
The Budget also addresses peoples' needs by suggesting new education, healthcare and social-welfare measures, she said.
She added it also provides the finances needed to implement measures on poverty relief, elderly care and nurturing the younger generation, as announced in the Chief Executive’s Policy Address last month.
