Financial Secretary John Tsang hopes to strengthen Hong Kong's trade and investment co-operation with the emerging economy of South Africa on the second day of his visit there.
 
In the morning, Mr Tsang and the Hong Kong business delegation paid a visit to Gold One International Limited, a gold producer and explorer with dual listings in Australia and South Africa.
 
He then travelled to South Africa's capital Pretoria to meet the country's Minister of Finance Pravin Jamnadas Gordhan to exchange views on the latest developments in the global economy.
 
He also attended a luncheon meeting hosted by the South African Reserve Bank Governor Gill Marcus. The two exchanged views on issues of mutual concern and interest.
 
In the evening, Mr Tsang will attend a dinner to be hosted by China' Ambassador to South Africa Zhong Jianhua.
