FS to visit South Africa

Financial Secretary John Tsang will lead a business mission to South Africa tomorrow until December 9 to seek new development opportunities.
 
The business mission comprises more than 30 industry representatives.
 
Mr Tsang and the business mission will have meetings with leading local companies, attend business luncheons and dinners and visit financial institutions such as the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and the South African Reserve Bank.
 
The visit forms part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen investment-promotion efforts in emerging markets, highlight the advantages of doing business in Hong Kong and encourage corporations to establish a foothold in Hong Kong.
 
During Mr Tsang's absence, Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Prof KC Chan will act as Financial Secretary from December 4 to 8, while Secretary for Development Carrie Lam will act on December 9 and 10.
