Creative sector delegation visits Beijing

Create Hong Kong head Jerry Liu is leading a creative-sector delegation on a two-day visit to Beijing today, to promote co-operation between Hong Kong and the Mainland on the creative industries front.
 
The delegation comprises representatives from digital entertainment, television, music and publication sectors, as well as the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. It will meet officials of the Ministry of Culture, the State Administration of Radio, Film & Television, as well as the General Administration of Press & Publication.
 
They will explore ways to meet the needs of the Mainland creative industries market with Hong Kong’s competitive edge in light of the National 12th Five-Year Plan, with a view to achieving a win-win situation and furthering the development of Hong Kong creative industries.
 
The Commissioner for Television & Entertainment Licensing Vincent Liu and officials from relevant departments will join the discussion sessions.
 
The delegation will return to Hong Kong tomorrow evening.
