The Information Services Department serves as the Government's public relations consultant, publisher, advertising agent and news agency. It provides the link between the Administration and the media, and enhances public understanding of government policies, decisions and activities.
Home Affairs Department
The Home Affairs Department aims to enhance communication between the Government and the people of Hong Kong and to facilitate the development of District Administration.
Legislative Council
The Legislative Council's main functions are to enact laws, control public expenditure, and monitor the work of the Government.
Financial Secretary
The Financial Secretary's primary responsibility is to assist the Chief Executive in overseeing policy formulation and implementation in financial, monetary, economic, trade and employment matters.
FS to present Budget on Wed
February 22, 2011
Financial Secretary John Tsang will deliver the 2011-12 Budget speech in the Legislative Council at 11am tomorrow.
He will then hold a press conference at 3pm and participate in a panel discussion at 7pm, both of which will be broadcast live on television and radio. Click here for the broadcast schedule. Internet users can watch them here.
On February 24 Mr Tsang will attend a joint radio phone-in programme at 8am to answer Budget questions from the public. On February 25, he will attend an English-language radio phone-in programme at 8:30am.
The speech and a leaflet highlighting its key proposals will be available from 1pm to 7pm at 20 Home Affairs Department Public Enquiry Service Centres and the Information Services Department counter at the Murray Building in Central.
