Secretary for the Environment KS Wong will visit Europe tomorrow, to learn about waste-management strategies there, to help formulate policies for Hong Kong.
He will visit the UK, Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden to meet with local officials and environmental experts.
He will also visit thermal waste treatment facilities in the countries to see the technology, operation, effectiveness and challenges in developing modern waste infrastructure.
Mr Wong will return on March 7.
