Acting Chief Executive Matthew Cheung inspected the Security Bureau's Emergency Monitoring & Support Centre after Typhoon Signal No. 10 was hoisted today.
Mr Cheung examined how the centre co-ordinates resource deployment and emergency response operations across various government departments.
He said the Government will continue monitoring the impact of Typhoon Hato and take appropriate precautionary measures.
He thanked government staff working during the inclement weather to ensure public safety.
