Chief Executive CY Leung says the Government and the Legislative Council can co-operate well in implementing policies.
Ahead of this morning's Executive Council meeting, Mr Leung said he attaches great importance to the relationship between his administration and the legislature.
He said good co-operation between the Government and the legislature is also the common aspiration of the community.
On the election of the LegCo Chairman, Mr Leung said it is the lawmakers’ decision and the Government will respect their choice.
