Chief Executive CY Leung has highlighted that there will be a new session at the Boao Forum this year on "Innovation & the New Economy of Hong Kong".
Mr Leung will deliver the session's keynote speech, while Secretary for Innovation & Technology Nicholas Yang will join panel discussions with distinguished industry figures.
Speaking to reporters before departing for the forum in Hainan this morning, Mr Leung said he hoped to introduce Hong Kong's innovation and technology development to the forum participants.
He also plans to meet with government and business leaders attending the forum.
Mr Leung added that about 20 students from Hong Kong universities are joining the forum as volunteers so they can familiarise themselves with the different leaders.
