Non-Official Members of the Executive Council have strongly condemned last night's violence in Mong Kok.

In a statement today they said several hundred people attacked Police and the media at the scene, damaging vehicles and public property, and set fires, seriously jeopardising safety.

They said they fully support Police enforcement action and swift apprehension of the mobs.
