Chief Executive CY Leung met with Swedish Financial Markets & Consumer Affairs Minister Per Bolund at the Chief Executive's Office today.
Mr Bolund, who is also Sweden's Deputy Finance Minister, is in Hong Kong to speak at the Asian Financial Forum.
Noting that Hong Kong enjoys increasingly closer ties with Sweden, Mr Leung said Hong Kong, being an international metropolis, can act as a super-connector linking it to the Mainland and Asia markets.
He encouraged more Swedish enterprises to set up business and invest in the city.
Mr Leung also said he hopes Hong Kong and Sweden continue to strengthen co-operation and exchanges in finance as well as innovation and technology, and collaborate in promoting the development of financial technologies for their mutual benefit.
