Chief Secretary Carrie Lam says the 2016 Policy Address is comprehensive and deserves the public’s support.
She told the media today the measures outlined in the Policy Address are in line with the Government's focus on economic and livelihood issues, as suggested after the constitutional development proposal was vetoed by legislators last year.
Mrs Lam said she is happy to see there are new measures on poverty alleviation and the ageing population. She said she will further discuss these measures in a press conference tomorrow.
Meanwhile, she welcomed the Chief Executive's announcement the Government will make admission free to permanent exhibitions in designated Leisure & Cultural Services Department museums.
