Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Raymond Tam co-chaired the Hong Kong/Guangzhou Co-operation Working Group's third meeting today in Hong Kong, with Guangzhou Vice Mayor Cai Chaolin.
They discussed Nansha’s development, cross-boundary e-commerce and professional exchanges, and co-operation on airports, education and youth, and future directions.
Mr Tam said the nation's major development strategies, such as the 13th Five-Year Plan, the Belt & Road initiative and the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone present immense opportunities for various sectors of both places.
He said they will strengthen ties and push forward co-operation under the principles of complementarity and mutual benefits.
