Chief Executive CY Leung will leave for Israel on October 12, which will be followed by a visit to the United Kingdom.
Advisor to the Chief Executive on Innovation & Technology Nicholas Yang, Commissioner for Innovation & Technology Annie Choi, and local industry leaders and academics will join the trip.
On October 13, Mr Leung will visit Jerusalem and call on Israeli President Reuven Rivlin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and meet Israeli parliamentarians and Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce members.
He will also tour technology enterprises and Hebrew University of Jerusalem's technology transfer company.
Mr Leung travels to Tel Aviv on October 14 to visit innovation and technology enterprises, the Weizmann Institute of Science, Tel Aviv University and the desalination plant in Sorek. He will also attend the opening cocktail reception for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council's Tel Aviv Consultant Office.
He will leave for London on October 15 to call on Secretary of State for Foreign & Commonwealth Affairs Philip Hammond, Secretary of State for Transport Patrick McLoughlin and members of the UK Parliament's All-Party Parliamentary China Group.
Mr Leung will also witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on health co-operation between Hong Kong and the UK, and attend the Trade Development Council's annual dinner.
On October 16, the Chief Executive will attend a Hong Kong Association luncheon and tour the London Metal Exchange and an MTR Corporation railway project, before returning to Hong Kong that evening.
Chief Secretary Carrie Lam will be Acting Chief Executive during Mr Leung's absence.
