The Government has strongly condemned last night's storming of the Legislative Council Complex.
In a statement today, it said violent radicals repeatedly charged the complex using mills barriers and bricks to smash its glass doors and damage the building's facade, resulting in severe damage.
They also tried to obstruct Police, who used minimum force to stop the protesters.
Three officers were injured.
Six people have been arrested so far as Police investigate the incident. Further arrests will be made, the statement added.
LegCo meetings originally scheduled for this morning have had to be rescheduled.
The Government said people must observe the law when expressing their views, adding it will not tolerate violence.
