Peaceful protest urged

Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man said that the Government respects and understands protesters' concerns, but hopes there will not be any violence resulting in protesters or law enforcement officers getting hurt.
 
Addressing the media today, Dr Ko said the Hospital Authority has a contingency arrangement in place to handle the injuries.
 
He said the accident and emergency departments of different hospitals will be activated according to the number of victims, the place where the incident occurs, as well as the number of seriously injured people.
 
Dr Ko added that he is confident the authorities will be able to handle any untoward events.
