Celebration activities will be held on October 1 and 2 to mark the 65th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
A flag-raising ceremony, a National Day reception, a National Day Extravaganza and a fireworks display will be held on October 1, while a cultural show is slated for October 2.
The flag-raising ceremony will be held at 8am at Golden Bauhinia Square outside the Convention & Exhibition Centre. Chief Executive CY Leung will join 2,500 guests including senior government officials and community groups at the ceremony.
People are welcome to watch the ceremony from a designated area with a capacity of about 1,000 spectators.
The Chief Executive will host a National Day reception afterwards for 4,000 invited guests, including members of the Executive and Legislative Councils and consular corps, at the Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The Home Affairs Department will hold a National Day Extravaganza at Victoria Park from 2pm to 6pm, and a spectacular fireworks display will start at 8pm.
The cultural show takes place at the Hong Kong Coliseum at 7pm on October 2.
