The second round consultation on constitutional development will be launched as soon as it is ready, Chief Secretary Carrie Lam said, calling on society to voice opinions on the National People's Congress Standing Committee's reform decision.
Addressing the media today, Mrs Lam asked people to study the decision on Hong Kong's constitutional development, adding that attaining universal suffrage is a big step forward.
She said the Government will continue to seek the pan-democratic legislators' support in the next round of reform consultation.
Noting that some student organisations are planning class boycotts, Mrs Lam reminded them to ensure that their actions are lawful and will not affect other people.
