CS urges sincere talks
July 21, 2014
Chief Secretary Carrie Lam says the Government is committed to facilitating communication between various sectors and the Central Government, urging pan-democratic groups to be sincere in their deliberations.
Speaking to the media today, Mrs Lam reiterated the Government is committed to achieving universal suffrage in the selection of the Chief Executive in 2017.
She said the Government will meet academic groups, business chambers, the Occupy Central group, and the Alliance for Peace & Democracy in Hong Kong.
She said she hopes these meetings will help narrow the gap in opinions over universal suffrage of Chief Executive in 2017.
