Chief Secretary Carrie Lam has urged people to express their views during the final month of the political reform consultation period.
Speaking to the media after attending a Basic Law event today, Mrs Lam said the Government adopts an open attitude and listens to all proposals.
She reiterated that reform proposals must comply with the Basic Law and should not replace or disregard the nomination committee.
People are looking forward to casting their vote to select the Chief Executive in 2017, she added.
More events will be held in the coming weeks to publicise the relationship between Hong Kong’s constitutional development and the Basic Law, she said, adding people should seize the opportunity to express their views.
