Hong Kong & Macau Affairs Office Director Wang Guangya and National People's Congress Standing Committee Deputy Secretary-General and Basic Law Committee Chairman Li Fei will meet legislators visiting Shanghai in April.
Chief Executive CY Leung told reporters today the two officials will discuss constitutional development and other matters with the legislators.
He said it is a good opportunity for both sides to have a meaningful discussion, and urged legislators to participate.
He also encouraged them to provide details on their trip arrangements, which he will forward to the Central Government.
