CE invites concern groups to meet with him
September 07, 2012
Chief Executive CY Leung today invited representatives of three concern groups - Scholarism, the Parents Concern Group on National Education and the Hong Kong Professional Teachers' Union - to have a frank exchange of views with him, Committee on the Implementation of Moral & National Education Chairperson Anna Wu and other Government officials.
The meeting, with a view to settling the controversies over the implementation of the Moral & National Education subject, should take place under no pre-set conditions.
Mr Leung is looking forward to an early favourable response from the three organisations. The meeting date and venue can be determined separately.
The Government delivered the letter to the representatives at 5pm today. It said it is now proactively discussing the concrete arrangements of the meeting with the representatives and hopes to firm up arrangements as soon as possible.
