A total of 243 nomination forms for the 2011 District Council election were received by Returning Officers of the 18 districts on the first day of the nomination period today.
Nominations will continue until September 28.
There were 33 nominations received for Hong Kong Island, 101 in Kowloon and 109 for the New Territories.
Particulars of the nominees will be made available on the election
website.
