HKMAO Director briefed on monetary affairs

Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council Wang Guangya visited Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Limited and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority this morning, accompanied by Financial Secretary John Tsang.
HKEx Chief Executive Charles Li briefed Mr Wang on the exchanges' operation, and they toured securities brokers' trading booths in the trading hall.
Chatting with listing representatives about their work, Mr Wang said the relationship between the Mainland and Hong Kong is very close, which will benefit the city's economy and stock market.
A HKEx vest with the number 1283 was presented to Mr Wang as a souvenir.
This was followed by a visit to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority where its Chief Executive Norman Chan gave Mr Wang a briefing at the information centre.
Accompanied by Chief Executive Donald Tsang, Mr Wang later joined a luncheon with members of various sectors of the community.
Mr Wang said the relationship between the Mainland and Hong Kong is very close, and will benefit the city's economy.
