The volume of Hong Kong’s total goods exports decreased 0.1% year-on-year in October, the Census & Statistics Department announced today.

The volume of goods imports for the month rose 1% over October 2019.

Prices of goods exports and imports decreased 0.7% and 0.6% year-on-year for the month.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the volume of goods exports increased 6.6% in the three-month period ending October compared with the preceding three months, while the volume of goods imports rose 4.8%.

Comparing the first 10 months of the year with the same period in 2019, the volume of goods exports decreased 2.9%, while that of goods fell 5.1%.

Prices of goods exports and imports for the period both decreased 0.8%.
