Sept goods exports up 10.3%

The volume of Hong Kong’s total goods exports increased by 10.3% year-on-year in September, the Census & Statistics Department announced today.
The volume of goods imports for the month rose 4.6% compared to the same period last year.
Prices of goods exports and imports decreased 0.8% and 1.3% year-on-year for the month.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the volume of goods exports increased 5% in the third quarter compared with the preceding quarter, while the volume of goods imports rose 3.8%.
Comparing the first nine months of the year with the same period in 2019, the volume of goods exports fell 3.2%, while that of goods imports dropped 5.8%.
Prices of goods exports for the period decreased 0.8%, while that of goods imports fell 0.9%.
