The Land Registry recorded 4,555 sale and purchase agreements for all building units for registration in March, up 3.2% from February but 29.1% lower year-on-year.

The total consideration for such agreements rose 1.4% from February to $35.8 billion, representing a 32.2% year-on-year decline.

Of the agreements, 3,870 were for residential units in March, up 8.3% from February but 26% lower than the same month a year ago.

The total consideration for residential units was $31.8 billion, up 4.4% compared with February and 30.8% lower year-on-year.

There were 408,634 land register searches last month.
