Dec goods exports up 3.8%

The volume of Hong Kong's total goods exports increased 3.8% year-on-year in December 2019, the Census & Statistics Department announced today.

 

The volume of goods imports dropped 2% compared to the same period in 2018.

   

Goods exports prices dipped 0.4% while those of goods imports rose 0.2%.

 

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the volume of goods exports increased 1.7% in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared with the preceding quarter, while the volume of goods imports fell 0.4%.

 

Comparing 2019 with 2018, the volume of total goods exports and imports decreased 5% and 7.6%.

 

Goods exports and imports prices increased 1.1% and 1.3% in the same period.
