FarmFest 2019 opens

FarmFest 2019 opened today in Fa Hui Park, Mong Kok, featuring more than 390 stalls selling local agricultural and seafood products.

 

Jointly organised by the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department, the Vegetable Marketing Organization and the Fish Marketing Organization, the three-day event showcases local produce including hok tau pak choi, choi sum, watercress, carrot, cherry tomato, oyster and Sabah giant grouper.

 

There are booths selling local delicacies, organic and healthy food, kitchenware and household goods.

 

There are also cooking demonstrations, interactive games, and music and cultural performances.

 

The event is open from 10am to 8pm.

 

A free shuttle bus to the venue is available at Shek Kip Mei MTR Station Exit B1.

 

Admission is free.

 

To tie in with the green event guidebook by the Environmental Protection Department and the Business Environment Council, this year's FarmFest will provide recycling facilities and a reusable tableware rental service to achieve waste reduction and clean recycling.
