Dong He has been appointed Monetary Authority Executive Director (Research) from August 7. He will also become the Director of the Institute for Monetary Research.

Mr He previously worked with the World Bank and was a Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund before joining the authority as a division head in 2004.

He has worked in the authority's External & Research Departments and has published research on a range of economic matters, particularly the Mainland and Hong Kong economies.
