Financial reporting council member named
*

Michael Scales has been appointed a member of the Financial Reporting Council to replace Mark Dickens who resigned on January 9. The appointment runs until November 30.

 

Mr Scales has strong experience in corporate governance matters. He is currently HSBC's Corporation Secretary and previously served on the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform.

 

The council is an independent statutory body established in December 2006 to investigate audit irregularities and accounting non-compliances of listed companies in Hong Kong.
